Ipera Technology announced release of new industry leading multi-format HD/SD video transcoder Pixel Xtream® 3 with Windows 8 support.

November 30, 2012. San Mateo, CA. Ipera Technology, provider of multi-format HD/SD video transcoder, Pixel Xtream, announced support of Windows 8 in its industry leading product.

Windows 8 is the latest OS release from Microsoft that offers new possibilities in improved productivity with features like Windows To Go, DirectAccess, and BranchCache, as well as enhanced end-to-end security with features including BitLocker and AppLocker. Windows 8 features the new fast and fluid Start screen that gives people one-click access to the apps and content they care most about, the entirely new Internet Explorer 10 that is perfect for touch, and built-in cloud capabilities with SkyDrive.

“We’re proud to be one of the first video transcoder products to support Windows 8. Our customers migrating to Windows 8 will be able to take advantages of new features and functionalities provided by Windows 8 for further improvement in productivity of their workflow by deploying Pixel Xtream 3” said Ian Xie, CEO of Ipera. “Our unique approach to innovate new video enhancement and transcoding algorithms has produced Pixel Xtream 3, the industry’s fastest and highest visual quality HD/SD multi-format transcoders. We are committed to maintaining our leadership in speed, quality, and usability to provide our customers with the best transcoder solutions.”

Dramatically expanded on format support, Pixel Xtream 3 was designed from the ground up with proprietary, patented video quality enhancement and bit-rate optimization technologies, and superior pipelined architecture to reach new level on quality and speed. Video quality enhancement is based on Ipera’s patented Pixel Magic® video enhancement core technology that removes noises, distortions, and artifacts. It also prevents new distortions from being introduced during the encoding process, resulting in higher quality video and lower bit rates. Video quality is also boosted at all bit rates with sharper contrast, improved brightness, more vibrant colors, sharper edges, and details.
